I've seen one do this at an airshow, so the answer is, "yes". They're pretty remarkable machines.

I think that, when one looks at this picture, one automatically assumes that the machine is doing a prolonged power dive. In reality, it is probably just doing a brief "nosestand".

Or moving up relative to the vehicle/right from the perspective of the picture.

Nope, with the rotors in that position and the body at that tilt, it would have to be dropping. If the rotors were back more, it could be flying forward faster than it is dropping but couldn't be climbing.

I don't know, but I had a Chinook pilot who was at the plant giving a rah rah speech, tell me privately he'd seen one do a full forward tumble and recover. I wondered if he was bullshitting me, but I was polite*. The Chinook can fly so high it could of had time, but the blade stress would have been tremendous.

*Yeah I know, not me, but professionalism, prime customer, and all that.
