I generally run around with a bunch of little aches and pains (mostly in my neck and shoulders)...usually they are just on the edge of my consciousness. Sometimes, though, they can get me really tense and cranky, so I might then take half a 5mg hydrocodone and 20 minutes later I'm all relaxed and cheery. I call them my happy pills. If I had real pain, however, like a 7 or higher, they wouldn't work. I would need a 10mg oxy for that. Thankfully its been a long, long time since I've had real pain.
When I was younger, I might have mixed pills with booze, but nowadays I'm just not interested in that kind of high. A glass or two of wine is all I need. |
