(48/2)(9+3) = 144

I agree with UT. Order of operation.
terms inside brackets exponents and roots multiplication and division addition and subtraction so 48÷2(9+3) = ?should be written as 48/2(12) = (12x48)/2 = 576/2 = 288 (my keyboard doesn't seem to have a division sign) Last edited by SamIam; 04-15-2011 at 01:49 PM. |
