Dana, I think I understand and agree completely.

There's only one aspect of FB that we grand-parents like, and
it relies on just what you are talking about.
FB lets us keep up a little with the daily high and low, earth-shaking emotions
in the lives of our high-school and college age G-kids.

I remember how utterly boring it was for me to visit G-parents,
and I certainly was not about sharing every detail of my life with them.
But FB is the new (legal/acceptable) eave-dropping tool for the elders.

It's utterly amazing the naivete of young people,
and what they are willing to put up on FB for others to see.
Plus, sometimes they do come across some great links !

There just needs to be a way to archive snatches of FB,
so the kids can be teased later on when they've grown up a bit.

And yes, we (adult) Dwellars do seem to expose a lot of details about our own lives.
