Skype Help Needed - Basic Questions

Anyone use Skype?
I used it in London, but on a laptop where it was already set up.

I'm trying to set it up on the 'rents' PC - with their approval - and it is driving me batshit insane. The direction in Help tell me to click certain buttons under certain options without telling me where those options are!

I am at the very beginning here. All I want to do is find my way to the Directory and Add Contacts. I'm certainly no technophobe, but I can't find a logical route through the Help topics and I can't find anything resembling the answers given in said topics either. It's as bad as eBay!

Oh and if you do you are welcome to have my Skype details. We're getting a webcam and mike this week too But in the mean time I'll be able to use the instant messaging. If'n I can ever work out how.

Thanks chick.
I KNEW I was missing something obvious. What a plum.

While you're here - does having silicone muffin pans mean you don't need to use paper cases?

Well, the paper ones were good enough as they were, IMHO, silly cones.

Sorry, had to get it out of me.
