Being a Labrador he'll eat anything - and frequently does!
Last summer he consumed most of a 1kg bar of chocolate that had been left in an accessible place by one of the owner's kids. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but the vet had to administer an emetic as his system wouldn't have been able to handle all the Theobromine in the chocolate. I'm told that there was evidence of him having consumed rather more than 'just' the chocolate. He came to stay with us for the rest of the day and looked rather sorry for himself to say the least. It didn't put him off chocolate as he tried the same trick a couple of weeks ago, although things didn't go too far this time. Carruthers |
