				Dear Comcast customer

http://blogs.chron.com/techblog/arch...n_houston.html Dear Comcast customer, Because we are unable to provide the bandwidth to 1% of our heaviest, most influential power users, we are going to annoy 100% of our customers with a metric they must monitor. We are going to say we are “pleased” to provide this; we will explain that it is “easy” to use it, since it is a web page. And we are going to describe it as a “feature” of our service. Ha! Ha! You don’t get this “feature” with any other service! Ha! Ha! You see, we view data on our service as an “allowance”. We _allow_ our customers to use our network. It’s not so much that they pay for it; the payment part of our service is in an entirely different city, so we usually just forget this is a two-way street. And most cable “customers” are forced to use us anyway by their local government! Ha! Ha! And do you really want to tear up your street and your yard to put in a fiber cable? We didn’t think so! Ha! Ha! Of course, if you don’t use the service much, you don’t have to check the meter. In fact, if you only use 1GB of your allotted 250GB, we will refund half of your monthly charge since you didn’t burden our network. Ha! Ha! Just kidding! |

You should be honored to be chosen as a customer.

Love FIOS - and the "tear up your street" claim - BS! they ran it and I can't even tell where the lines are. They were VERY GOOD with the installation.

They seriously fucked up the lawns in both the front and back where I lived previously. I am not currently in a FIOS neighborhood. Apparently our median income here is lower than the threshold.
