It looks like voting is already closed, but I'll put in my two cents. While I disagree with Mercenary a lot, I will give him credit for being informed. His sources of information are different than mine, as are his biases. That said, I do believe that he is willing to at least examine evidence challenging his beliefs.

I find him no more opinionated, stubborn, or offensive than more than a few other long term dwellars.

I find him infinitely more reasonable than UG, who appears to be such a ludicrous one dimensional persona that I still can't shake the belief that he is some dwellars digital sock puppet. A social experiment by UT, a straw man set up by TW, or Elspode exploring his dark side. Merc has certainly shared more of his personal life on this board than UG and seems to have a functioning intellect. This makes him a useful conservative counterbalance. I would put him in the conservative/libertarian category, Radar's protests notwithstanding.

Since LJ started this thread, I can only assume that Merc has landed on LJ's shit list. Having been there, along with a possibly large number of other dwellars, I cannot help but find a certain amount of commonality with him. Maybe we can get T-shirts printed.

FYI LJ, you misspelled 'bigoted'.
