Yeah, I feel that way about soccer, any sport when you can't use most of your body...

And baseball...don't even get me started on a sport where you can play an entire game, then have enough energy to play an entire other game....hours upon hours of sitting around and waiting.

OK, that's a legitimate view. Badminton, Basketball, Field hockey, Football, Handball, Table tennis, Tennis, biking, Volleyball, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline.

I wonder about their thinking though. Golf has a big audience but also has bigger stages than the Olympics. It seems like they'll be hosting a minor golf tourney rather than being the biggest stage for something else.

Maybe it will end up being truly amateur.
Being practical, what better to attract major donors/backers into sponsoring the Olympics than promising to build a world class golf course?
