When I make pineapple upside down cake, it's basically just a teacake with pineapple rings on the bottom of the cake pan and then brown sugar sprinkled over before the cake batter is poured in.
I've never used cherries before, but now that it's come up, I think i'll do that next time. I love waldorf salad. Yummo! I guess I really am a child of the 70's.
