Always wondered why that would be a good thing.

Why not say the world is your ring-tailed lemur?

Sometimes you find surprises in oysters. You might find a surprise in a ring-tailed lemur, but you probably left it there, and I would be wary of such a find.

Also, oysters take in grit and use it to create pearls.
If the world is your oyster, it will take all the shit you have to feed it, and give you something wonderful in return.

That's the way life goes, right?

I can only report what I observed. In a school where the ratio is about 50/50, 90% of those making a big outburst were of a single ethnicity. I do not offer this as an indictment of an entire race, just the local examples at that place and time.

As was Bennington..

Bennington College is a liberal arts college located in Bennington, Vermont, USA. The College was founded in 1932 as a women's college focusing on arts, sciences, and humanities. It became co-educational in 1969.
Beaver went co-ed in 1972. I could have gone there a few years after that. The ratio would have been at least 5:1.

If he'd wanted oysters, he should have picked a school in a different New England state.

'69 was the year that several women's colleges switched positions.

I'm very skeptical. I'll have to see some examples.
