Exactly 1% of people in cars notice when pedestrians push the cross signal button, and allow them to cross when they have the light. And a surprisingly low 7% of dickwads in cars yell at pedestrians while they are crossing the intersection during a red walk sign.

I was behind one such persons the other day. I was making a left but had to wait for someone to push their bike through. The girl behind me laid on her horn and gestured while yelling for me to go. I am sure she didn't see him due to the sun being in her eyes yet I saw him.

I was quite shaken and I hope she felt stooopid once I was able to go and she could see. I thought she was going to get out of her car and slap me. lol
