What peeved some Californians about it was the idea that Prop. 8 was having at least some of its strings pulled from Salt Lake City. What, they'd like to know, was Utah's interest in the matter? Though the answer was predictable enough from Mormon social values. Approximately the ultimate in alienation from your fellow parishioners may be accomplished in being Mormon, black, and gay.
