I have to say that I think it's funny that Americans are all into naming traditions and stuff, because I would truly have classified that as an olde Englishe type thing until I moved here.

I don't know anyone in the UK who has the same name first name as their father. There are certainly no "Juniors" and "the thirds" ...even in the monarchy. there's none of the "Yes he's Chuck A. Bucket II, we're gonna call him Deuce"

the middle names, yes there is often a hint of family in there, but usually just grandparents' names.

For those who haven't seen it in the zillion other threads, these are our sprogs' full names:

Hebe Amazon Petra Beestmonster
Hector Pendragon James Beestmonster
Thor Artemus George Beestmonster

they rock. I don't care what you say, and I spit on your stupid standardized forms that can only cope with one middle name :p
