I find tiger direct (www.tigerdirect.com) to have excellent prices and service. You will need at least a 300w supply.

We have Fry's here, too, but my wife knew of an even geekier place with just rows and rows of shelves of junk (like WallE's house) and, although I did have to send her back once to get the 24 pin power supply, sure enough when I slapped it in--my machine lit up, just like I was 99% sure it would.
Who knows, maybe the new power supply is "defective" somehow; but not according to the "my PC works again" criteria. btw: Tiger Direct has storefronts?

I went to the store front... it is def not for the average consumer... i.e. myself.... They literally have bins and bins of used and old parts... every kind you can imagine... The website above doesn't do them justice... They have old server cabinets, old imacs, emac, laptops, pc games... they even had a star trek shuttle desk top cd organizer I'll have to see if I can take some pics for you... |
