Leaving for San Francisco tomorrow

Well, I leave at 8:30 am and I am #2 on the first class upgrade list and there are only 13 people out of the 20 seats booked so my prospects for an upgrade are looking real good.

I got the ticket for only $225 and I get to see my wife and sleep in a hotel on the west coast which after the last 4 years of being away is pretty cool. I am taking my daugher out to dinner on Friday in SF and otherwise am going to chill out and be a traveler. I may go to the Sears restaraunt for breakfast on Saturday, they have been off of Union Square since the mid 1930's.

Have a good weekend celler dwellers!:

I hear the line for the newly rebuilt science museum (largest green building in the world) is still 2 hours long--at the VIP entrance!

Sweet. His house should be empty now. Gonna get me that jack that's strong enough to lift a freight train.

If you get a chance, I recommend the Stinking Rose for lunch or dinner. My favorite restaurant in SF. EVERYTHING is made with garlic. Including the ice cream. :-)

You know, when I saw that Shel was the last post in a thread that had San Fran in the title, I really thought there was gonna be a killer gay joke attached. Instead, I get a restaurant review. :p

I just took some pics from our hotel room of the post sunrise scene in downtown San Francisci. My daughter got us a room on the 20th floor of The Sir Francis Drake Hotel where she works. Sunset last night was great but I left the camera in the car.

I love this... She got us a special rate because she works here, $50 for the room but the parking is by a lot that contracts with the hotel and one night is $44! Still for $108 including tax a night in downtown isn't bad!

Crap, I never bother to lock the doors to my garage. Could you put away my tools while you are there and run the shop vac? There is beer in the garage fridge!!!
