School Mascots

My kids' school mascot is the ferocious Panda, Clodfobble's the fearsome Geckos, Wolf used to be a Trojan and Shawnee has been a Polar Bear

What about you?

(discussion so far:

My Junior High mascot was "Warriors." (injun in full headdress). I just went looking to see what the mascot situation was there, and according to the November Newsletter on the website voting was ongoing for some animal starting with "W." At least they weren't trying to choose something like "Wisteria."

My high school mascot - "Trojans." We took a lot of ribbing, but were stiff opponents.

In a strange twist of fate, I went to a college where we cheered the "Golden Rams."

My HS mascot was the Whippets. Not NO2 hits from whipped cream canisters, the dogs. Small, skinny, shivery little dogs...

Hmm, I don't remember any grad school mascot. It was St Patricks so it was probably a drunk leprachaun or something.

Oh, my high school mascot was especially retarded: it was Mr. Maroo, a personification of the school's colors (maroon and white,) because it was the sixties and I guess they'd already used all their brain cells that day just choosing the colors.

Quote:
The Mr. Maroo Mascot was officially adopted by the Student
Council in 1965-66. He is a hairy, 1.1 meters tall mutant transmorph with extraterrestrial parents. He is the embodiment of the "spirit of the Austin High Maroons."

Mr Maroo. That is awesome.

My brother's college, Earlham, were The Fighting Quakers, the Hustlin' Quakers, and now just Quakers. Quakers fighting...get it?

Mr. Maroo looks like the little furball guy we would get if we sold 5 magazine subscriptions in the 3rd grade fundraiser.

Mr Maroo has no arms or hands.
