Pale Rider, Jeremiah Johnson and Unforgiven are at the top of my list. Been wanting to see 3:10 to Yuma for awhile now, heard good things. Oh and Blazing Saddles of course.

I think I'll have to get Shane, I don't know if I've ever seen it.

There were a couple of Wyatt Earp movies out a couple of years ago (14 ) Wyatt Earp and Tombstone. Val Kilmer's Doc Holiday was awesome in Tombstone.

I don't know about best Western, but my favorites are Rio Bravo and Silverado. I love Walter Brennan as Stumpy. And his griping at Dude (Dean Martin) is a hoot.

Silverado has good action and enough humor to be more than a morality play.
