I advocate round-robin test cricket being compulsory for all nations attending the Olympics. With 180+ nations playing, allowing two rest days between the five-day games, this would take almost four years. Hence the games would have to run this long.
Since there is supposed to be a truce when the Olympics are on, this would enforce world peace. In the name of the bat and the ball and the holy bails, let it be so.

World Peace is not worth the price of cricket dominating the news for four years thank you. It's bad enough that I can't get away from Pietersen's miserable mug at the moment. Anyway, we're hosting the next Games and would therefore be bankrupted by the cost of hosting the world for that long. In fact, given that it would be stopped for bad light and rain for weeks on end it might even last beyond the end of the Games after next. But rugby in the Olympics would be fun. |
