Tcha. Boxing Day is when goodwill parcels were distributed to the poor. It's a Bank Holiday, and generally the only shops open are Asian grocers. |

That's why it's Jewish tradition here to order Chinese takeout on Christmas Day.

Since we do our gifts prior to Xmas (partly due to having Xtian Xmas early with the inlaws, and partly due to my family celebrating on Yule), I can report my gifts now: A walking stick from the inlaws A handmade ritual staff, a digicam/binoc combination, a cool flannel scarf, a turtle pocket totem disc and a computer game from TF A color changing multifunction egg shaped clock, a heated ice scraper, a can of popcorn, $150 towards the purchase of my new bed for my room and a bottle of cologne from Selene A DVD and some stocking stuffers from Kaleigh A t-shirt and some snacky stuff from Stephen and Julie A Galileo thermometer from Colin and Kayleigh A nice box of dead cow from one of the nicest people I'm blessed to know. I got a lot of very thoughtful things from people who love me. Its quite awesome.

I had a cookie making day with mom yesterday. Oh and I made fudge too. I bought my mom and sister little angel bears with with perfume attached and gave myself one too. They were 50% off. I bought my son and Shawn Himalayan salt candles which purify the air. They were like 75 %off and tea lights 75% off. I wasn't planning on shopping but I walked through this particular store as a short cut to the mall to pay my phone bill and the prices were so slashed I felt like tossing my cell phone. I didn't BUT neither I did I make it out of there without an armful of goodies. Previously I had already gotten my mom and my siblings and secret pal these really annoying christmas clocks that play music. Annoying because the do not have a volume control. Santa Spouse gave me a silver sugar bowl with a small bird perching on the side that serves as the handle, a roll of Oklahoma quarters (they have scissortails on them), a gold Indian elephant charm from his trip there earlier this year, and a pink sapphire encrusted ribbon necklace. Some of the price of the pink ribbon necklace goes to fight breast cancer, which fought with my mother and sister and lost. Thank goodness. So that gift is really special.
