Are "bedroom communities" the kind where your wacky neighbor comes up and chats with you at the window over your kitchen sink, like on Three's Company?

Perhaps. Not sure. I suppose one could do that with their neighbors. I think bedroom communities are those little compact subdivisions out in the middle of nowhere...or in small towns that actually wouldn't self sustain if they weren't located near a metro area.
