I also wonder what sort of safety interlocks are in place to prevent accidental decapitation or amputation. I was nearly strangled by the "passive" restraint system in my Talon once when I had to open the door to grab a turnpike toll ticket. I often wondered if anyone ever reviewed the security tapes and had a good laugh over that ...

I have always been a big fan of the gull-wing door (UFO fan as a kid), but that has it's own problems, particularly when it comes to parking space selection.
