In the late 70's/ early 80's the company I worked for made all the engineers an offer. They could, as a group purchase, buy Ti programmable calculators for about $700. A year later you could buy one for $200. Bwahahahaaha

What an enchanting walk down memory lane!

I had that Sony Walkman ... it was indeed innovative. Still can't find anything as small and light for cassette tapes. I wish the damn thing still worked (actually, it did when I last checked it, but the battery cover latch broke and Sony USA couldn't/wouldn't (i don't remember now) send me a replacement.

I didn't have that Casio PDA-type calculator, but I do still have an old programmable casio that I still use. Got me through a stat class couple years ago.
