Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?

Like everyone else, I knew the old standby:
Jingle Bells
Batman smells
Robin laid an egg
The Batmobile lost a wheel
And the Joker danced ballet.

But my 5 year old son taught me this version last Fall:

Dashing through the snow,
On a pair of broken skis,
O'er the hills I go,
Smashing into trees (ow ow ow)
The snow it turning red
I think I'm almost dead
Now I'm in the hospital
With stitches in my head

Oh, 9-1-1, 9-1-1
Sirens all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride
In an ambulance all day.
