i wouldn't say annoying as yet..... usually i see right past it and don't even notice it. If I close my right eye, it's plainly visible, and there is a mild distortion of detailed, high contrast shapes (like these words I'm typing right now) but with both eyes open, I don't notice it unless I'm actively looking for it. I'm hoping that the change in shape is indicative of the area healing and getting smaller.

OMG I get those occasionally. they never last very long, though, a couple of hours tops and are usually when i'm very tired. perhaps i'll take it more seriously next time.

I don't think it's the same thing if it only lasts a couple hours... I had a similar pattern (mine was a retinal hemorrhage) and it was there for days and days before it started to clear.

Mega-obvious disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. Duh.
