Quite aside from a (supposed) subtlety of pronunciation that I get, and you don't, Rich -- you're mishandling an apostrophe and likely have done so all your life -- how about we consider the right "base" that gets its views with the aid of National Review, Commentary, American Spectator, and for example Dinesh D'Souza? How about those who read Thomas P.M. Barnett? How about those who read Thomas Friedman?

People of this kind are thinkers who pose an intellectual challenge you simply can't meet, rich, not until you educate yourself in these. The Left continuously mentally masturbates to the theme of the Right being the realm of dullards.

The Left, it is clear on the evidence, knows nothing. While enjoying itself. It's hardly unfair to call them wankers.

I am not a know-nothing, which is why I reject the Left. They are committed to having the coruscating intellect of a sheep. I have greater ambitions, and higher. My opposition here is unable to believe that, but, in the immortal word of Dick Cheney, "So?" I have long rejected the leftist shibboleths as unworthy of me. They are unworthy, I think and hope, of you also.

Don't pretend that intellectual apathy is only a symptom of the left.
I don't, and I'm not going to start. Thanks for the sensible advice.

Intellectual apathy is a necessity for the prosperity of mountebanks and charlatans.

I wonder in what century people actually used the word "mountebanks"-? Sounds like something Monty Burns would say.
