One can't really do serious work in a garden until the turf has been taken up.

Carpet muncher is a funny term when you realize it's not the carpet that really wants et.

My Mom said, when she worked in the hospital back in the '70s, there were a lot of women, mostly from the Jewish community, with shaped & styled bushes. Trimmed into shapes like hearts, dyed and/or frosted to match the drapes, etc.

Well, I never met any. And if I wanted to see frosting down there on a woman, it wouldn't be the kind you use to tint hair.

Although now it would have to be sugar-free and low-cal. ::
