He sounds like a decent man, but you are too, so don't beat yourself up. A man who needed to be a better person wouldn't even have got to hear about the ill wife! Still, if it got you to count your blessing it was a positive encounter. Spud - lots of love sent to you, hope the detoxing goes as well as it can. At least it's another milestone passed.
