I don't care - I have no children and will run out of the option to have them in T-Minus 7 years (approx)

But in truth I was brought up by a post WWII UK generation to hate waste - even though their drive for the spangly and new and clean after living next to bombsites drove them to crave packaging and individually sealed items.

Sod whether Al Gore is right or perpetuating some bizarre lie - why wouldn't you do your best to preserve the planet's resources?

What would be everyone's response to Al Gore if he said that because man has caused global warming, we're going to take a lesson from the Chinese and limit your reproduction to one child per lifetime? With forced abortions, and prison or death for offenders? Would he still be saving the planet?

If the world become so unstable that we needed to emplace extreme population control measures to avoid a major economic collapse then yes, he would be saving the planet.
