A good but cheap wine (I have a hard time with it myself) is Louis Jadot Villages- it's a Beaujolais. It's light bodied but not too light. It's around 12 bucks and can compete any day with some of the more premiere brands. http://www.wineloverspage.com/wines/tn.phtml?id=712
