My collection follows the 80/20 rule. I own 80% of the MP3's I have. I'm seriously considering converting them to Ogg to completely wean myself. I've recorded streams and traded music with my friends, which has lead to a lot of music purchases by me.

What the RIAA-hee-haw is experiencing is diminishing returns. They push out the same crap, and fewer and fewer people are willing to listen. Stars are jumping ship and heading directly to the internet.

Shit with a cherry and sprinkles on top is still shit. Promising that these new fangled, shiny disks will reduce the price of music, then reneging, and raising the prices is still shit. the fact that no one has smacked Jack Valenti yet is still shit.
