Free download, burn a disc or two, then when your less savvy friends and relatives start whining.... viola, hand 'em a disc and go back to your porn.
Or you could just buy a Mac.
I set up my son's new laptop this past weekend when he moved into dorm, and Vista is such a pig of an OS. Incompatible with everything, interrupts itself (and you) constantly to ask permission to continue, and has some weird quirks. Meh. Buy a Mac.

If my name's not Viola, can I still hand 'em a disc and go back to my porn?

I find this to be extremely useful, and not just for new 'puters.
