Actually, April had one of those at dinner. It was alright...we didn't ask which beer they used. It was probably something crappy like Stag or PBR or Budweiser.

so....i did lose power....twice...breifly...hic!

and my daughter got scared by the storm.....
so i snuggled with her for a while until the storm passed by,......
i taught her about how you can time the flash with the bang...to guage how far away the storm is and if it;s mving towards or away from you. and that she was safe in out big stone house.

she;s so cute. she said it wasnt the lightning she was scared of, it was the loud thunderclaps.

ps....1/3 into capn numba three. gonna go to bed at the end of this one. feeling mellow.

flint sniffs is own farts.

If asked, I'd have said this morning that I wasn't very drunk last night.

And yet I forgot having hiccups.
I forgot I left, then came back here to eat a kebab.
And I completely forgot that I had been intending to carry on drinking after 8 pints.

Quite, quite glad I didn't!
I still have onion breath though

You don't get regular thunderstoms there, lj? We get that warning 3-4 times/week on average in spring and early summer. The storms don't always follow, but they are pretty spectacular and pretty regular. Only one tornado watch so far this season, though....

this was an exceptionally powerful and low flying storm. the lightning was going POP! right before it crashed...which said to me that it was hitting something v. nearby....like the lightning rods on the deli next door.

Okay - I'm tempted to try this again one last time.

As we're getting security cameras installed on Monday, my last chance is Saturday night.
As I don't work Sunday I'll be able to log on in America-friendly hours.

Anyone else going to be here having a drink then?
