Call me crazy, but in the last two years or so our Home Depot has really upped the quality of their garden department. They now have a wider and more interesting variety of potted plants than even the huge nursery in town that everyone recommends. They don't do arrangements, obviously, but I think a live plant is a better idea anyway.

That's whose aisles I was mentally browsing while thinking about heathers and small perennials. They do sometimes do planted arrangements too, but doing your own is always better if you have the inclination.

Yes, the person in question is a girl. Or the girl, rather. I'm putting way too much thought into what to get, so I'm just going to take care of it tomorrow while I'm killing time waiting for her to get done with her observation stuff.

I might end up with something cheesy like roses, or the same gerbera daisies I gave her last time. She liked those.
