Every time I see GWB on TV, I seem to be shouting

nu-CLE-ar!!!!!!
nu-CLE-ar!!!!!!
nu-CLE-ar!!!!!!

at him. He never seems to hear me. I'd also like to ask him how to spell whatever it is that he says. Hell, if he could spell 'George' correctly I'd be surprised.

What really pisses me off is now, other people are starting to use the same pronunciation. I heard some CIA wonk on the radio the other day say 'newk-you-luhr" when talking about Iraq.

I'll bet there's a memo somewhere that tells people to say the word the same way as GWB so as to not make him look bad in these trying times.

This is America.

He doesn't have to be able to pronounce them to launch them.

I wonder if it's a military thing .. Anyone know if there's an Amurican dialect where 'noo-Q-ler' is normal? In a previous life, I had a co-worker who was in military (must've been on spring break or something) who needed correction. He accepted it gratefully, too.
