Software License Keys

This article says you can use a google search query to reveal software license keys of one’s computer. The software including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Adobe products, and more.

It claims a Google search for something called Belarc Advisor will do the trick. Maybe, but if Belarc Advisor has them, doesn't that mean the keys have already been used?

Damifino.

You can get key generators for a variety of software products like games, Photoshop, etc. that will give you a 100% working key that will unlock the software just as the key given to you on the inside of the CD case as if you had bought it.
Not that I ever have used these or anything....

Oh, I see. They don't have to feed back to the Makers website to work?

I do use "Belarc Advisor".
Yes, it will give you the license keys for the computer it is installed on.
Belarc is a self-contained program. It does not list other peoples keys.
It also links to programs installed on your system.
It does not connect to the net, unless you ask it to.

The link claims if you do a Google search you'll find a shitload of them. Don't know how Google would have them unless people are putting them online.

The program itself (Belarc Advisor) is what's online, Bruce. The article means that you can find installs of the program through a google search, and if you then run the program, it will give you the license keys on your own system.

Well, the linked article shows this sample screenshot of a Google search. So for some reason, some people do post the results online for Google to find.

Those are probably phishing attempts. I'd guess they are trying to trick people into thinking that that profile is someone's actual profile.

Either that, or people run Belarc and the result page winds up in a section of someone's computer that their web server is finding.

I take that back, the first one on the page is a legit article and they've put up their own results page as an example of results.
