A friend on mine swears by salt as a good cure. She mixes a bath of salt water and washes the cats in that. She reckons it 'stuns' the fleas and you can then comb them out easily.

Alternatively, when my cats have had kittens, I've treated the mother and any other animals, and then simply picked the fleas off by hand and squashed them.

When the kittens are so young it's really not a good idea to use any chemicals. Once they get to about 4 weeks you probably could try one of the back of the neck flea treatments through the mother.
