Just afraid of hands on my face, to clarify.

Oh, also that I will die before my son understands it.

Um, so nobody else would find it and it would die a quick death?

Ask LJ, he put it there.

Textured ceiling tiles with holes in them. Anything with a "holey" texture creeps me out.

My biggest fear is that someone will show up at the Cellar's doorstep, post a few times, and become the biggest know-it-all, most condescending fuck to ever walk the planet. (All present company not only excluded but far from that category.)

Doncha hate it when that happens?

Oh no!
Now you've given me The Fear too.

Now my worst fear is that someone I know and really don't like IRL discovers this place and follows me from post to post belittling me in a subtle but funny way. Then I would become snappish and sullen and they would shine like a little star so that in the end I slunk away in defeat while they were left here basking in glory.

Yes, something (a little bit) similar once happened

Really tall heights bother me. I was a paratrooper for 5 years and every jumps scared the shit out of me. I either had to be first or in the middle of the group. I was always afraid that if I was last (the pusher) I wouldn't jump, which would have been bad. Really tall heights still make my feet tingle. I would jump again if I had to. But I don't think I would do it for fun.

I have another on-line acquaintance who is afraid of holes; but, strangely, wanted me to send her photos of them.
The only time she ever freaked was when I sent her a video of a botfly larvae extraction.

I never heard of anyone else with that fear; I googled it and there are certainly fears of falling into big holes, or holes from which bugs crawl. Maybe the texture thing I have has to do with bug holes.

Googling the subject I found the following quote:

My Fear of Holes
February 28th, 2007 I don’t really trust the holes in my washer.

I refuse to put the soap in until the bottom holes fill with water.

Who wants to throw all that detergent into a pock-marked abyss?

Not me.

And so I wait.

From this blog.

That made me chuckle.
