Adults try to answer questions from a fifth grade curriculum. You know, like "in the northern hemisphere, summer ends in what month?" The adults typically have a college education and are as smart as a box of hair, which is the entertaining part, I guess.

I haven't watched it. It seems too much like posing sports trivia to non-sports fans.

If someone asked me who won a particular year's World Series, I probably couldn't even tell you the teams that played in it. (The year it happened I might have been able to tell you.) Does that make me dumber than a 5th grader?

I think they should ask these 5th graders the same questions 15 years from now.

They're not exactly competing against the kids, at least not for the prize money... the adults have to answer the questions, but they have a set of "classmates" (child actors--not just random kids) who also answer the questions separately, and the adult contestants have a limited number of opportunities to see what the kid thinks if they aren't sure of the answer.
