It's official, I'm making flight arrangements today with my boss.

I've finally had a chance to check out the Acadia Natn'l Park website today. Wow. Too bad that the park is 99% closed form Dec 1 to April 15.

There isn't any appreciable freetime during the actual workshop from Mon-Thurs. Depending on my flight schedule, I still want to rent a car and drive along the coast. More details later when I know more. Stupid winter.

I would if I could get to it. Sadly, all the cool stuff to see doesn't open till 2 weeks after I leave

. Plus, my flight arrangements don't allow for some rental car sightseeing of what is open. Pooh.

Hopefully you will still get a feel of what makes Bar Harbor wonderful. Sigh...I used to dream of winning the lottery, getting a yacht and sailing it to Bar Harbor for the summer and Key West for the winter.

So, I have hooked up with another participant who will have a rental car for the whole week (go me). There looks to be time for some sightseeing along the coast a couple different days. I have cleaned off a memory card, charged my batteries and am totally PUMPED for my trip.

---Oh. and the learning part should be good too...
