Same to you ducksy!

Hubby liked his fishing rod. He was so impressed he's decided he's going to get me a present today, as well as take me out to dinner tonight!

I think this is going to be a lovely valentines day for us. I'm really glad about that since it's the first one since we got married.

When I open the card, Johnny Cash sings "Ring of Fire".

One of my boys told me that he'd done a fart so hot his bum hurt. I told him he now knows what a burning ring of fire feels like.

I GOT A CARD!

There may be an item on the news this evening about dangers posed to aeroplanes flying over the Midlands. I am beaming so hard you may be able to see it from space.

I'll make sure to keep an eye on the western horizon tonight.

I got an animated e-card. Knowing that my boyfriend is quite romantically challenged, I'm happy with it.

Um, I'm from Iowa, USA.

It's perverse to send a Valentine's card to your neices and nephews/grandkids etc in Michigan??

Did you not pass out Valentines in school or has that been PC'd out nowadays?

Monster was born & raised a Brit, she's moved to the States since.

Valentines Day in the UK is all about romantic love. We certainly didn't give out valentines at school - unless it was someone we fancied. In which case it was a private exchange and not sanctioned by the education authorities.

Work colleagues/ different gender friends sometimes send eachother valentines, but in general it is considered odd to send them to family members, especially children.

(I appreciate it is different in the US, just explaining what happens here)

No wonder you are so excited about a card

I got a booty call. And a card. And a little something else that is very nice to have on snow day #2. All before noon!

Happy day!

And, SG---how cool is that? You're not gonna tell us who it's from?

My sweetie scraped the ice off my car for me this morning.
I'm taking him out to lunch at Pod.

My card isn't quite a romantic card, but it's definitely not like getting one from my Mum either.

From someone who cares & that's certainly enough to make me happy today.

Bri - do we have to guess what the 3rd thing is?! Did someone send a rescue dog to your house with brandy round its neck?

You know I love how your mind works, Sundae. It's close to a rescue dog with brandy round it's neck, but better.
