Parched? How do you prepare those? I have enjoyed Boiled when I'm in that region. It's a nostalgic treat for me. In fact, I think I still have a big ziploc bag of them in the freezer at home. I'll haul them out tonight. Yum.

In Seattle it doesn't get dry enough to parch goobers. Move east or spend a winter at high altitudes and your goobers'll be parched. You can take that to the bank.

Seriously, I reckon you get a mess o' goobers and parch 'em.
