what does left and right mean?
"left" means you hate freedom
and "right" means you hate non-white/christians?

Left means you hate economic freedoms, and right means you hate social freedoms. Libertarian means you love all freedom and want to defend it.

Right means you know what's best for you.
Left means I know what's best for you.

Hmmmm...not sure exactly. Both are self righteous, both seem to think they have the answers to all problems, and both seem to have completely abandoned logic in favor of party rhetoric. Even centrists now have gone a little weird I think, so frantic to not be associated with either that they have started to lose touch with reality. I cite the recent immigration bill as an example. How in holy heck are we supposed to REALISTICALLY know how long any illegal immigrant has been here? By default they leave no real paper trail when they enter.

Left means you're wrong.
Right means you're wrong. Both mean you've staked out an extreme and won't entertain reason or logic. Or port and starboard. ![]()

Lessee... and taking both at once means you're stretched very tightly between the stakes?
Taking a moment to be serious: left, The Nation; right, National Review. Left, Fahrenheit 9/11; right, Red Dawn. Portholes... ...Starboardholes. And the red light is on the port side of the ship.
