Depends on the face though, need pretty defined bone strcutre to pull it off well, couple of frends have hair as short as mine almost (1-2.5 inches or so) and it looks fantastic. Dreads are cool, a chick fried of mine with longish read hair did keeps it in dreads, looks fantastic.

Red dreds are my favorite, mine get reddish as the summer progresses but its not the same. The funny thing is my hair is now longer (about 12 inches) than most of my girl friends. Even the girl I'm kind of with is dredding her hair up so its going to be shorter than mine in a couple of months. Most of the girls I know though have short short hair, easier to dye as well as wash.
