Speaking of Taiwanese toilets, my brother and his wife have a restaraunt in Taipei and in one of the restrooms they have a toilet they bought in Japan that has a small sink on the top of the tank. The water that is pumped to refil the toilet tank and bowl after flushing passes through the faucet on the sink and then drains down into the toilet tank, ultimately conserving water usage; you wash your hands and the water is then reused for the next flush.
Also I found that homes don't usually have shower curtains around the tub, you shower and get the floor nice and wet and then it is clean for the next person. It would never fly over in the USA, we like to use the most resources possible! |
