Multiple personalities are only bad and annoying when the person does it to manipulate a situation or give themselves a "Me Too'er" to make themselves look better, or pose just the right question so they can make their point. There is a long tradition on The Cellar that no matter what your user name is, you post as you, not some carefully constructed fantasy character.

The assortment of sock puppets and their multiple owners don't serve that purpose. {Poster whose name I cannot remember, but I swear it started with one of the less popular letters of the alphabet}* and his altar ego, however, serve as the bad example.

Not that anybody who really needs this information will necessarily see this, but ... you CAN have UT change your user name. If you don't ask too often. And you ask really, really nicely.

Frankly, this is what Gwennie! should have done when he came out of the closet.




* I can't for the life of me remember who the major (nailed) offender was. My original version of this post appears to have blamed the wrong person ... if someone remembers who the hell this was, I would appreciate it if you'd help me fix the obvious hole in my brain.

Different forums have different traditions. My "main" forum moved and we all had to re-register and I only registered Rock Steady. After a couple of weeks someone asked me to re-register Gwennie! too and I did. That place is more outrageous than here. It's just different.

I came out because I don't like decieving people. I just like having fun with it.
