Well as long as we're being pedantic - the Merriam-Webster online dictionary also defines 'kill' as 'to cause to stop' ex: to kill the motor. In programming and IT, 'kill' is an often used phrase in reference to stopping a process. So, despite BLB's general dweebiness, his statement is literally correct. The plug-in kills processes.
