Those "He's not MY President" bumper stickers...

Have any of you seen those bumper stickers that say,"I didn't vote for him. He's not MY President"? Matbe it's just me, but that strikes me as wrong. Whether they voted for Kerry or Bush, when they voted, wasn't that tantamount to accepting the decision of the people? I don't know, maybe I'm just an idiot, but I think there are some really intelligent people here and I wanted to hear your take on this.

That's actually a good way of putting the situation. It's pretty clear to the people who are or have been in the military.

Salute the office, not necessarily the man.

You're right on this. That's why I'm done with voting.

Your right on two counts.
1-That position is not what the loyal opposition does.
2-Bumper stickers are stupid.

Well, if he isn't their president, then I guess they aren't my fellow American(s).

Does that mean that people with "My President is Charlton Heston" stickers are equally inane?

I actually like them. When I'm driving behind someone with a Kerry sticker, or a sticker that says "TRIM BUSH" (my favorite!) I always smile and I feel a bond between us. I'll even try not to tailgate them- a bad habit of mine.

My car is bumper sticker free.

When I drive past people with Kerry stickers, I want to point and say "Ha ha!".

I've noticed a growing trend in So. Cal. People are putting "BUSH" stickers on stop signs. Like this.

I have my Badnarik bumper sticker in my car still. I'll take it off in oh, 3.5 years when the next Lib candidate comes along.

I like to keep it simple--the big "W" with a big red line through it! That's the only bumper sticker I have.

I have no bumper stickers.

Just an NRA sticker on the rear window, driver's side.
