It weathered most of a wild storm that featured gale-force winds and choppy seas. But then the vessel, longer than three football fields, was suddenly smacked by the "freak wave," said Norwegian Cruise Line spokeswoman Susan Robison. It broke a pair of windows and flooded 62 cabins, she said.

*snip*

All passengers would be given a partial refund, a credit for a future trip and access to the ship's open bar, Robison said.

Passengers got a refund of half the trip's cost and a voucher for half the price of a future cruise, Robison said.
So that 'credit' for a future trip is a 1/2 off coupon.

Only 4 of 2500 or so passengers hurt.
62 flooded cabins but is that an inch or are we talking feet.
On the news tonight most of the passengers didn't seem to exited but the open bar for the last day might have something to do with that.
Also, several hundred got off in NC while the Coast Guard(Div of Homeland Security) checked the ship. They were the ones that were obviously most upset.

My Dad went to Europe (WW II) and back on the Queens Mary and Elizabeth. They had waves breaking over the bridge both ways. In the 70's my Mother and Brother sailed to England....Dad flew.
