Very sad. I wouldn't even venture a guess at a solution to this mess at this point; it's just gotten way too complicated.

At the airport recently there were dozens of soldiers who had just gotten back to the States from Iraq. A two week "vacation" for R & R; they had to go back. A few of us were talking to one of the guys who was on our flight as we were waiting. He couldn't have been more that 18 or 19 (actually, he looked about 15). One lady asked him how Iraq was, and all he would say was "real bad." He clearly didn't want to talk about it, and there for a second I thought I saw this poor kid's eyes well up with tears. I can't even imagine what it's like to be over there, let alone being a teenager away from your family. I felt really sorry for the guy, and am just hoping that all of this will someday amount to something GOOD, somehow or some way.
